Level 2: AI Practitioner takes you from understanding AI to actively using it for real work. You will learn the specific techniques that expert AI users employ to get consistent, high-quality results. You will build workflows that integrate AI seamlessly into your existing processes. You will master the rapidly expanding landscape of AI tools and know exactly which tool to use for which job. And you will develop the judgment to evaluate AI output quality and catch mistakes before they cause problems.
This is an applied, hands-on level focused on practical skills. Every lesson includes exercises you actually do, not just concepts you read about. By the end, you will have built prompt libraries, integrated AI into real workflows, designed automation sequences, and established quality evaluation frameworks specific to your work.
This level is ideal if you have completed Level 1 and want to move beyond occasional AI tool use. You are ready for intermediate skills if you are actively using AI tools (like ChatGPT) but want to dramatically improve your consistency and quality. You are also ready if you are tasked with integrating AI into your team's workflows or selecting AI tools for your organization.
Prerequisites
You should have completed CAP Level 1: AI Aware before starting this level. Level 1 covers the foundational concepts (what AI is, how machine learning works, what generative AI does) that Level 2 builds upon. If you have not yet completed Level 1, we recommend starting there. It takes approximately 20 hours and provides essential context for everything in Level 2.
Difficulty & Pace
Level 2 is intermediate difficulty. It does not require programming, mathematics, or technical background. But it does assume you are comfortable with AI tools and ready to dive into their sophisticated capabilities. The course is designed for working professionals who learn in focused sessions rather than full-day immersion. Most students take 4-8 weeks to complete Level 2, balancing learning with work responsibilities.
